With our unique technology we not only try to make the production of all hollow glassware producers more flexible, but also – and here most notably in the field of laboratory glassware – to simplify production.

Example: Manufacturing of measuring cylinders made of borosilicate glass:

Steps required in GPBAX’ digital
production system:

  1. 1Automatic liquid free measurement
  2. Direct data transfer to digital inkjet printer
  3. Automatic printing of all marks
  4. Firing of the ink at approx. 580 – 630 °C

Lead time of few hours (including firing ! )

Steps required in conventional analog
production system:

  1. Prefill with demineralized water
  2. Detection of the filling level
  3. Set first fill mark for lower scale end
  4. Continue filling with demineralized water
  5. Repeated detection of the filling level
  6. Set second fill mark for upper scale end
  7. Determination of the distance between the filling marks (=scale length)
  8. Sorting the vessels according to scale length- Assignment to suitable printing screens
  9. Drying
  10. Setting up the suitable screen to lower and upper filling marks
  11. Manual screen printing
  12. Firing of the ink at approx. 580 – 630 °C
